Born in Itami, near Osaka in April 30, 1968.
Started studying composition by himself, and studied with Chaya
Czernowin in 1994-5.
In 1988 and 1989, his works were selected as a finalist of competition
of JSCM (ISCM Japanese section). At Akiyoshidai International
Contemporary Music Seminar and Festival, he won "AKIYOSHIDAI
International Composition Award" in 1996.
His works are played in various festivals including Arsenale
musica(Pisa, Italy), Contemporary music week at the University of
Saskatchewan(Canada), Festival nieuwe MUSIEK (Middelburg, Holland),
Darmstadt International Summer Course (Germany), Melbourne Festival
(Australia), Gaudeamus Music Week(Amsterdam), ISCM World Music Days
2001(Yokohama), ACL2003(Tokyo), Angelica Festival(Bologna) by various
musicians (including Roberto
Fabbriciani, Massimiliano Damerini, Michael Bach, Pierre-Stephane
Meuge, Klangforum Wien and Johannes Kalitzke, Ensemble MusikFabrik,
Klangwerkstatt Weimar, Ensemble Nomad, Norio
Sato, Tomoko Mukaiyama, Hiroaki Ooi....). He has been commissioned by
Akiyoshidai Festival,
Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Takefu International Music Festival, Klangspuren
2002, and various musicians.
Scores are publisched by Ars Publica (Italy) and MotherEarth(Japan).
